Annual Dove Shoot Fundraiser at Hereford farm. Organizes the 5K run, sponsors and volunteers for the Gurley Library programs. Annual donation to the Gurley Police Department. Donation upon request to the HEALS Clinic in Gurley. Scholarship awards to MCES senior students. Assistance to families in needs through the Gurley pharmacy. Donation of eye exam sand glasses purchases for families in needs. Contributions to Alabama Sight Lions. |
Donation (upon request) to MCES for classroom supplies. Sponsor of boys and girls to the AL Lions Club High School Camp. Donation (upon request) to the Gurley Recreation Center. Provide help for local families in needs after major disasters. Support the AnySoldier programs. Donations (upon request) to MCHS/MCMS bands students trips to Junior National Leaders Conference. Yearly donations to purchase care package for soldiers overseas. Participation in the Gurley Christmas Parade. Subscription of Lions Club Magazine to Gurley Library. Subscription of Lions Club Magazine to MCHS Library. |
Our annual dove shoot hunt, usually held on two Saturdays in September, benefits our club projects that include providing financial support to the Gurley police, Financial contribution of the Gurley HEALS clinic, eye examinations or free eye glasses for those in need and other charitable activities for the rest of the year. The annual dove shoot is held on the Bledsoe Hereford Farm in Gurley. See Gurley events for more information. |
